I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very happy New Year and hope that you had a very happy Christmas. Before I start on this year, thank you to everyone who contributed to our Christmas party in November, hope that you enjoyed the "Giggles From Giggleswick" and the rubbish slides. Well, we can't be good at everything, but we had a laugh anyway. All of us who went to Giggleswick had the most wonderful time, which you will read about from Françoise Welch and Gordon Langley. This year it will be repeated from 2nd to the 6th August. Also, thank you to those of you who entered the competition 'Light at Night' won by Sheila Langley. Well done Sheila! Well done to Gordon, who once again did our raffle, with help from Pat Scammell; this has proved to be very popular; thanks also to Tina Turner, alias Sandie Cavill for her cabaret. |

On December 8th, Roy Fisher gave us a talk on photography. It was one of the most exciting workshop evenings we have had. I was in awe of his work. Next year, Claire has booked him again and I recommend that you should come. We had at least thirty-five people there. This is one for your diaries. Well, here we go again! 2004 and we have eighty members now - might have to think about a waiting list in the future. Claire has organised a wonderful programme and the Committee are full of ideas for this year. It looks as though 2004 will be just as exciting as last year! Anne Hamerton T.A.S. Chairman Dec 2003 |
