GREETINGS FROM OUR CHAIRMAN

ANNE HAMERTON

Welcome to 2005 and what a great start we have had to this year. I personally thought Charles Evans was one of the best entertainers as well as great watercolour artist. Well done Claire for booking him.

Our Christmas party last year was a great success once again, and I want to thank all those lovely people for bringing food and refreshments.

This year we have an Exhibition at Cadnam Nurseries to look forward to, plus the A.G.M. at which we will have a sale of frames from St. Dismas. So get ready for the Summer Exhibition. I would like to end by saying that Marion Parson has resigned as Treasurer and we have written to her to thank her for a job well done.

LETTER TO THE EDITOR FROM YVONNE MAY

Dear Editor

Since joining the Totton Art Society two years ago, I have thoroughly enjoyed all the demonstrations given by some incredible artists. It is a very good evening out; especially when the artists are as funny and talented as the recent “demo” given by Charles Evans. This is usually followed by the work evenings, when you are encouraged to follow the examples shown! A very nice crowd of people, some laughter, some advice, helpful tips and a cup of tea. What a delightful hobby this has turned out to be. Thank you

Yvonne May
