CLAIRE PALMER PREVIEWS THE NEXT PROGRAMME

This year you will see some old friends and some new demonstrators. Molly Verity and Soraya French who stated that T.A.S are the best group they've demonstrated to, will be back. Molly on behalf of Caran D'ache showing how to get the most out of their materials, Soraya may come as a visitor to watch her colleague on the night. Soraya who has recently been SAA Artist of the Year will also do her own innovative demonstration at a later in the year.

Geoff Thorpe will return to demonstrate his knife oil painting style, I booked him (when he was demonstrating water colour) last year as I was so impressed with his oils. Alan Langford has demonstrated in water colours, oils and run workshops for us in the past. In November he will show us how he paints his Dark Age Warriors and transport us back in time. Anne Hamerton will be hands-on as well, showing and guiding you through knife oil painting.

New to you, Belinda Matthews is from Downton and sells her jewellery at Romsey market where she also has samples of her paintings on show. So if you are there on market day have a preview of what you will see. [Last year she took part in the Hampshire Artists Open Studios Programme-Editor]

Peter Atkins paint beautiful town/street scenes in subtle water colours - quite lovely. Finally Catherine Dunne produces life like animals in pastel so good you may expect a bark or a miaow.! Hopefully when you collect your new programme you will be as eager to see them all as I am.

[This excellent programme is only possible thanks to much hard work by Claire Palmer our Programme Manager. Many, many thanks Claire! - Editor]
