Anne's Table

I suppose you'd describe me as being a brunette, well proportioned, sturdy, shapely and very accommodating!!

Tonight I look my best dressed in white lace ready for the TAS Committee Members. I support them for their meetings two to three times a year which I enjoy, in spite of the odd bashing from Anne when law and order is called for!

Everyone is welcomed with tea or coffee with biscuits and have had on special occasions, wine!! Everyone groups around me, even the President, who is an ex-committee member, but is kindly invited to sit in, watch and listen to all the many ideas, plans, suggestions and sorting out of problems, making arrangements etc and what one can't do another can and so on. The President enjoys this immensely to observe the team work of everyone pulling and working together. No-one is left to shoulder a job on their own, whatever the task maybe, there's always another member to lend a hand or give support.

In between the serious business there's much laughter and light-hearted chit chat. There's another little being who wonders in and out of my legs, Thomas the family dog who likes to look in on us from time to time, just to keep an eye on things and making sure everything's in order, hoping for the reward of a biscuit or two for his attentiveness.

The meeting comes to a close and everyone gives a warm goodbye. Ah well, now I can rest until I'm needed again for something else and another tale to tell.
Goodnight.
